Coffee Mug Chocolate Cake

For something fun and quick try this. I did and can't say it's delicious but it was worth the effort. I didn't run it the full three minutes and it was fine. So if you have a sweet tooth and love chocolate this could be just what you're craving!

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour (that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Some nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix
thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. The
cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
(this can serve 2 if you want to share!)
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at
any time of the day or night!

Our Trip to Ft. Bragg

On Monday, September 8, we made a reservation for a window seat for dinner at the Cliff House. This is overlooking the mouth of the Noyo River and looking beyond the bar you can see the ocean. Frank ordered salmon ravioli, Barb and I had tempura prawns and Kjell had salmon. The man at the table next to us offered to take the picture. We had a great trip.

This is the Sea Captain that guards the door to the office of Sand and Surf. Barb and I just had to pay him a visit.

Frank and Kjell had their turn at greeting the "Old Salt."

I finally made it to a lighthouse. I should have gone inside but there was already a group in the small building so I chose not to. Would love to have seen the fresnel lens if they had one on display and see how it looks up close. Maybe I'll have another opportunity someday.

Ignore the date on the picture. The camera wasn't set right so should have read 09/08/2008
